Question
Hello Dr. Tsatsos, I am 47 and have no real medical issues, my question is not serious because if I thought it was, I would be seeing a Doctor in person. But, I have this tingling sensation in my outer ankle. I only feel it when anything brushes lightly over it. It's a tickly tingle. It doesn't burn or hurt. I just find it strange. I've just noticed it now for a couple weeks. Any thoughts? Thanks, Mary

Answer
Have you have any low back pain or knee pain, change in sleeping position habits, or change in shoes or activity lately?
All of these can cause some pressure on the nerve that provides sensation to that area.Try modifying one of the above.
If the numbness persists and seems to get worse a second opinion can't hurt
Good Luck
