Question
Will knee replacement get rid of the muscle spasms and muscle aching that occurs with severe medial knee OA?

Answer
It might,

I think I would research knee resurfacing first, this is much less invasive an carries a fraction of the risk of complications. Total knee replacement (TKR) is done much less frequently since the FDA cleared the newer procedure in October of '06. I have had several patients undergo the resurfacing with astounding results, look around your area to see if it is available.

Good Luck!
