Answer
This Chicago, South Loop & Elmhurst Podiatrist of AnklenfootCenter.com says.......

Dear Kevin,

The pain in your toes is probably due to arthritis of the toe joints, thickening nails causing pressure, or a bone growth(less likely).
You can try Advil or Alleve until you get an appointment.
If the toe pain goes away completely with the Advil or Alleve-suspect arthritis of the toe joints near the tips.
All pain should be examined-since it is a warning sign!
An office visit with a podiatrist should be able to help you. The podiatrist can decide if a foot x-ray is necessary-if a bone growth or spur of the toe is suspected.
Thickened nails may cause pressure-which can be relieved by trimming or grinding away the toenail.
The podiatrists of AnkleNFootCenter.com are specialists in toe pain cases.
We are located in Chicago & Elmhurst.
Hope This Helps
Good Luck!
