Question
MRI showed a round, white space, which was diagnosed as ganglion cyst. However, all info I have read says nothing about this type being inside the foot. One MRI pic on web showed a ganglion cyst as a black area. Could I have something else? There is nothing visible, nor can anything be felt. I am on Lodine 400mg. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Patsy,

You can certainly have a ganglion cyst in the foot around tendons and joints.  On MRI these may appear as white or black depending on the type of images that were being examined.  It is possible that there may some other problem.  I would seek another opinion and see if another radiologist can take a look at the MRI.
