Question
I am experiencing pain at the top of my left foot below my metatarsal.  Yesterday I might have overdone it with high heels (3.5 inches) which tends to bring on this condition.  Years ago, I also had it (same foot)and it seemed to be brought on by running in the rain when my shoes became soaking wet.  I have googled for this issue and chatted with friends with sesamoiditis and it doesn't seem to be the same.  Thanks. Sorry for my delay in answering.  

Seems like an inflammatory reaction, possibly from the shoes, maybe from running.  If it's still going on, use ice and an OTC anti-inflammatory.  If that doesn't help in a week, visit your podiatrist
