Question
On new years eve my right foot started to feel overheated or feverish and began to sweat a little.  I had socks on shoes on at the time.  When I removed my shoes, my foot started to feel normal again.  Everyday since my foot has been experiencing the same symptom but now the feeling will not go away unless I remove everything from my foot and lay down.  While at work I try to remove my shoe and evelate my foot when but this is not helping.  Today, once again I have the same symptoms but now I am also feeling a slight tingling in my foot as well as the bottom part of my calf is slightly sore and slightly tingling.  My left foot and leg feel normal.  I have no cuts or open wounds nor have I had any injury to my foot.  Also nothing appears to be swollen.  What could this be??

Answer
These Chicago Podiatrists, Elmhurst Podiatrists & South Loop Orthopedic Podiatrists say.......

Dear Amy,

Regarding your feverish foot.  I would follow up with an orthopedic back doctor. When there are symptoms on one side-then these symptoms may be pressure related to the nerves that go to the leg. Tingling is nerve related
If you need to elevate the foot to get relief (circulation problem), or the sweaty feeling also has pain(maybe gout)-see a Board Certified Podiatrist.

Hope This Helps!
