Question
Hello and thank you. They took x-rays and found that I have a fracture on the left and an old fracture on my right I also have spurs where my (sp)healius tendon is on both feet
He gave me gauntlet type braces and is referring me to physical therapy for a month. He wants me to see if the new braces help with the pain of the fracture if not monday he will put me in a cast
Thank you though your answer made me feel more confident in asking him questions so I did feel like I was in pain over nothing. And he said both of my feet were inflamed from stress and pressure and he could really see my tendons well on the x-rays so he hope p/t will help
Thank you

-----Question-----
Hello I have flat feet and week ankles. I have had problems with my feet ever since I was a kid. I am 23 now
I am going to a podiatrist tomorrow. But I want to know what should I bring up to him. Every time I go to the Dr I forget to ask important questions. I always have pain in my feet. I have to sleep with my legs elevated about 3-4 pillows high. Otherwise my feet hurt during the night. I wake up in the morning and I have a sever gimp for about 30 min with the snap crackle and poop the whole time and when I rotate my ankles you hear loud pooping sounds. Should I being all of this up to him. I don't know if its important or not. I am going to see him not for my general feet pain but I injured my ankles in early January and its still hurt to walk on it. But since I am there I figured I might as well get it all out of the way.
Hopefully you can answer before I have my app tomorrow but if not thank you still as I will know what to bring up for future visits
-----Answer-----
Hi Amanda,

Hope I caught you before your appt.

It is not normal to have foot pain.  There is a problem.  You may have a problem with the structure of your feet and may need to consider orthotic arch supports.
Other areas that need to be evaluated include possible arthritis or autoimmune problems that may lead to joint pain or stiffness.
Lab tests can be done or possible referral to a rheumatologist.
In any case you need to get to the root of your problem.
Pain is absolutely not normal especially at your age.

Hope all goes well.  Feel free to ask more questions after you see your Podiatrist.
