Question
hello i have questions concerning your education.  what all did u do besides getting good grades to get into med school (how many volunteer hrs, etc..)  also, how gruling is it, and while im completeing a bachelors degree in pre-med, is it still possible to hold a job, or is it too busy?  please tell me any detail information and suggestions you have! i know the basics, 4 yr degree, med school, resiency and all.  where did u go to college, and med school also? thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
You have to do well on the MCAT exam.  It helps if you spend volunteer time with Drs., emergency rooms etc.  If you are focused it's difficult but certainly not going to kill you. Some students do suffer through the work and have a hard time.  Really everyone is different.
You can work and complete a pre-med degree but you will be very busy.  Some people work doing med school especially on the weekends.
Getting to know Drs that went to the schools you are considering can be helpful.

Bottom-line, work hard, play hard and stay focused and you will make it!
