Question
I'm only 17, and this year I've noticed when i walk a distance my little toe gose compleatly numb.  I don't wear shoes, i wear flip flops majority of the time or nothing at all. I'm worried cause last 2-3 summers I've fainted a good couple times. I'm cold constantly. Could it be poor circulation?

Answer
Hi Sam,

Numbness usually is the result of pressure on the nerve of the foot.  You are likely walking more heavily on the outside of your foot and compressing the nerve.  Numbness in itself is nothing to worry about.  However, if this continues or worsens , I would see a Podiatrist.  As far as the fainting, I would see a Dr about that.
