Question
Dr. Katz,
I had a neuroma removed 2 years ago and now it has turned into a stump neuroma.  Three weeks ago I finished a series of six injections to "freeze" the nerve, but it did not releive the pain.  Is Cryo-Max a viable option, or should I look into surgury to correct the problem.  I am a fairly active individual and am on my feet for multiple hours a day with work I truly want to avoid any further complications with this problem.
Also, what is the comparative cost with the Cryo-Max prodedure vs. traditional Surgery?
Your input is appreciated, Thank you for your time
Annette

Answer
Hi Annette,

I would highly consider Cromax.  You are more likely to have further complications with injections and repeat traditional surgery.  You can develop a stump neuroma again!

Cryomax is less expensive because the procedure is performed in the office. So there are no surgery center or hospital fees.

Sincerely,
