skin peeling

Question
about 8 months ago the skin started peeling from the bottom of my right foot, just behind my little toe.  then it spread over several months right across the bottom of my foot all the way over to my big toe, but never reached the toes.  I used a can of tinactin, then once that was gone started using the antifungual cream, and it seemed to go away. Now the skin is peeling on my little toe and my big toe.  I started using the cream again, but am wondering what it is cause I have had diabetes for 23 years.  no itching or redness or anything, just peeling.  It is only on 1 foot.

Answer
Very often this is caused by a fungus and a bacteria.  Tinactin only handles the fungus.  There are prescription creams that can solve this, but must be prescribed by a podiatrist.
All the best,
