Question
I am flaring up after several months of having a fairly comfortable several months. I take enbrel, with the heat getting in the 100's i seem to be flaring up. Is that normal>

Answer
Dear Jan,   Unfortunately with rheumatoid ankylosing spondylitis (please note correct spelling), "some" people are effected by hot days or very cold days....  Others it does not seem to both or matter.....

I can olny suggest that on these extremely high heat days that you do not go outside if at all possible...  This may help or you can talk to your doctor if this does not help....

Thank you,   karen
