Question
I have what I believe is plantar faciitis.  Last week I noticed my achilles tendons were very tight and on Monday my knee caps were popping with every movement that caused them to bend.  Yesterday I woke with with pain when walking at my knees.  My right knee hurts more and when getting up and going down or using stairs, I am stiff and my right knee hurts.  What should I do?  Is all of this related?

Answer
Dear AJessie,

This Orthopedic Chicago Podiatrist located in West Loop 60661,Roscoe Village 60618, Elmhurst 60126 & Bartlett 60103 says...
For your plantar fasciitis.
Plantar fasciitis is pain on the bottom of the heel-especially in the morning or after rest.
Plantar fasciitis will make you walk differentially-which can produce pain in the knees, hips or lower back. An irritated joint or tendon will be painful after rest & upon initial movement.
Try gentle exercises & stretching and weight loss. If these pains continue-see your orthopedist

Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
