Answer
Dear Jeni,
This Chicago Podiatrist, Elmhurst Podiatrist & West Loop Podiatrist says.......
For your ankle & knee pain.....
Use PRICE for both for now.
Protect-Wear an ankle & knee wrap and limit the movements that aggravate it-at least 3
weeks. Maybe use crutches if they hurt.
Rest-Speaks for itself-rest it-At least 3 weeks.
Ice- Will help if it is still painful and  with the swelling.
Compress-Ace wraps or other mild compression sleeves
Elevate-Will help if it throbs or swells.
Visit our website at AnkleNFootCenters.com for examples.
Go see another specialist to find out why the knee pops. Stress fractures are not known to make knees "pop". Bring all your x-rays and ask them to read. Do not expose yourself to additional x-rays if you can.
