Question
QUESTION: I had third and fourth MTP Synovitis and third inner space neuroma surgery post a crush injury, and I also had four fractures, from injury.Still having complication. Doctor said there is nonthing further they can do medicaly because it  was a crush injury. Any other options?
ANSWER: Hi Tony,

Are you having pain?  Swelling?  Redness?  Describe the type of pain.  Does it radiate?  Where is most of the pain, top or bottom of the foot?  Any recent tests, MRI, X-rays?  Are the bones healed and well aligned?
After a neuroma is removed you may develop a painful condition known as a stump neuroma.  I perform Cryosurgery for this with success.  See my site below.  Let's answer these questions and then we can move forward.

QUESTION: There is everyday swelling, and a burning sensation on the bottom.Where the fractures were there is always dicomfort.Since surgery no other x-ray nor mri.Can not stand on my feet anymore for more than 5 or 10 min before dicomfort gets worse, and hard to keep a shoe on injured foor for a period of time.My  two toes that were dilocated alway have pain but not bad all the time.

Answer
Hi Tony,

I believe there are several options for your foot pain.  First I would consider seeing another Podiatrist and having x-rays and possibly an MRI if needed.  You would likely benefit from custom arch supports of other custom supportive devices.  Physical therapy may also be helpful.

Lastly, I perform a procedure known as Cryosurgery for chronic foot pain.  I believe that this may be a possible option.  Please see my website below.

Hope that helps.
