Question
Hi, I am trying to find a specialist for my nephew, who is only 10wks old and has bilateral infected great toes. He went to a podiatrist that clipped his toe nails while they were swollen, red,and infected, was given cream to put  on toes. This has been going on for two weeks now and are no better. We live in Lakeland and we are having a hard time finding a pediatric podiatrist. Can you help? I am concerned about the infection spreading , not to mention the pain he has to be in. Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Kathy,

I don't know a pediatric podiatrist in this area.  You will need to call around and ask podiatrists what ages they accept. Normally trimming the nail and antibiotic cream help after a while. Maybe more nail should be removed.
