Question
I had a gel cyst and an infected finger nail, so the doctor cut the cyst out and removed my infected nail as well. It's been two weeks, I don't have much pain any more but there is a very thick crust over the finger. What should I do?

Answer
This Chicago Podiatrist, Elmhurst Podiatrist & South Loop Podiatrist says.......

Dear Cecil,

Be gentle.Don't mess with it. Do not use Hydrogen Peroxide. Maybe a dab of some generic antibiotic ointment-check with your doc. Should be better in about 2 weeks. Nail will grow back by 4-6 months.
Good Luck
Hope This Helps
