Question
What could be causing this knot on my toe? It is a hard round knot on the back of my toe beside the big toe. No redness, only noticed it when I felt it with my fingers. It's under the skin and u can see the knot if looking close enough. No pain is felt. Thanks for any information u can provide.

Answer
Hi Tonya,

This sounds like it could be a ganglion or mucoid cyst.  These are fluid filled cysts that are harmless.  However, if the area worsens I would see a podiatrist.
