Question
After receiving "Cryomax Treatment", how long can I expect the relief from the pain of Mortons Neuroma to last?

My symptoms are: numbness of toes (left foot), the feeling that something is inside the ball of my foot, occasional swelling, occasional sharp pain when stepping down (walking).

Answer
Hi Ronald,

First we would need to make sure that you have a neuroma and not an inflamed joint.  A Morton's neuroma can be confirmed with ultrasound or MRI.  A diagnostic injection, if done properly, can provide a solid diagnosis.

With the Cryomax cryosurgery treatment, I've had patients that have had relief for months and often many years.  It varies and I am unable to make that determination even with an exam.

Since the procedure is less invasive, it is preferred in my opinion to the traditional nerve removal.

If you did not have relief from cryosurgery, you can then have the traditional surgery.
