Question
dr tsatsos,I am 82 year old diabetic,3 days ago I was walking barefoot ans stepped on carpet wooden track with nails.it was not covered by carpet.next morning washed with anti-biotic soap and put neo-sporin.3 days have gone it is a little sore to walk on and have 2 small black dots    no redness or swelling.think if it was celliutis in 3 days I wouldvhave severesymptons,had tetanus shot 5 years ago.

You're probably OK. Easiest way is to look for local redness & warmth or even a minimal elevation of your temperature-like half a degree
