Tingling in lower back

Question
Hello,

I have been having a tingling sensation in my lower back, and it goes to the back of my legs, as well as my butt cheeks, and both testicles. I had to do some lifting one day and was lifting a really heavy 100 pound computer as well as moving computers while sitting on the floor. That night when I went to bed, I felt a really strong tingling sensation in my lower back, back of legs, and both testicles. I have been reading it might be a sign of sciatica. What do you think?

Answer
Although I am not a physician, the symptoms that you describe could be sciatica.  It sounds like you have strained some muscles during the lifting and they are tightening in response.  This can cause the vertebra of the back to be pulled a nerves to be 'pinched'.

If the pain persists or gets worse, I would recommend seeing your doctor, chiropractor, or osteopath for an opinion.

Thank you for your question, Robert.  I hope that my answer was helpful.
