Question
Hi, I just had an MRI and it read. "1. Study partially limited by a diminished singal-to-noise ration. Chronic-appearing posterior disc protrusion at L1-L2 and L4-L5, and mild posterior disc bulging/protrusion at L5-S1(in part pseudobulging at L5-S1, and with asymmetric right foraminal disc protrusion also noted at this level) No new frank lumbar disc extrusion or significant progressive central canal stenosis as compared to the previous MRI study of 1-29-07.
2. Moderate right, and minimal left L5-S1 Foraminal encroachment, with the remaining lumbar exit foramina patent. Moderate central canal narrowing at L1-L2, and mild central canal narrowing at L4-L5
3. Mild multilevel facet degenerative changes.

Thats all. Thanks to whom ever translates this for me.
Sincerely, David. G. Kucza B.S.

Answer
David,
What it reads to me is that you have a chronic or long standing protruding or bulging disc at L1-2 and L4-5.  You do not have any increase or change in the narrowing of the canals as compared to your previous scan.  There is moderate narrowing of the right foramina and central canal narrowing.  You also have some wear and tear on the facet joints.  All in all, you have some narrowing of the holes in which the nerves exit, some disc protrusions and some where and tear of the joints that help with movement in the lumbar area.
