Question
I fell from the top of the rock climbing wall(25 feet). I landed on my feet
and rolled to my back. I did land on 6 inches of shredded rubber.  Initially I
was in no pain so the doctor released me from the er without hardly
looking at me. This happened 3 days ago and I know that soreness is
normal. I want to know how long I should wait before thinking about going
to the doctor. I wasn't told not to do anything so I have been climbing
twice since the incident. I am also a gymnast so I have done some floor
routine dance throughs (no tumbling). No activity seems to make it feel
worse; in fact when I am exercising it seems to warm up and feel better
but it is really sore and tired by the end of the day.

Answer
Jacqueline,
From your description, it sounds like maybe you strained one of your glut muscles which is why activity seems to help and no activity makes it worse.  If you experience any numbness, tingling or instability of your pelvis, go to the Dr. immediately.  Try working on strengthening your gluts and see if that helps reduce the fatigue and soreness you are experiencing at the end of the day.
