Question
4 years ago I fell down 18 concrete stairs.  Since then I have been having shoulder/arm/hand and finger numbness and tingling. It was mostly on the right side but has now moved to left as well.  Its very painful, waking me up from sleep. Nothing I seem to do makes it feel any better. Any help/thoughts are welcomed.
Thanks

Answer
I am assuming you had an evaluation done by physician and some treatment after the accident originally occurred. At this point in time, I think it's safe to say that you need to get another evaluation done if your symptoms have not resolved. Numbness and tingling is always the result of some type of neurological problem. Your symptoms may be the result of a pinched nerve in your neck from a disc that has herniated or from arthritic changes in your neck. I would strongly suggest you see physician who can do a thorough physical examination and perhaps order some imaging as well. Simple x-rays of your neck would be a good start, but an MRI may be necessary as well.
