Answer
Dear Sandy,

Your accident triggered protective neuro-muscular reflexes that painfully tighten muscles and pull vertebrae so close together that discs bulge and nerve roots are being trapped.

The fastest and most direct way I know of to free yourself of the problem is clinical somatic education.

You may read the article on the process at somatics.com/pdf/What_Really_Happens_in_a_Somatics_Session.pdf.

There are practitioners and self-help programs.

To read more on the approach, see somatics.com.  There are articles on headaches, whiplash injuries, and back pain.
