hello sir,
sir my mama is 55 years old and she suffers from polymyositis and her physician recommended 75mg prednisolone orally.taking 2/3 dose in morning at 7 o clock and other 1/3 at 5 o clock in evening.
sir i wana ask u that how many chances are there that my mama suffers from adverse effect of this therapy as it will continue for at least 5 years with slow tappering?

Dear Imran,  Prednisolone is the same as Prednisone and there are at times adverse reaction to taking this medication for long periods of time....

Usually the MAIN problem with this drug is fluid retension and swelling of the body....  Your mother will have to keep all doctor appointments and be closely monitored while taking this drug...
