Question
Hi, I'm an 18 year old female and I have just started doing pilates. I noticed that both my hips click when I lift my legs up. I haven't had a hip replacemant or anything and if I ignore the clicking and lift my leg anyway it hurts. Should I go to a pysiotherapist or  something? Thanks for your help.

Answer
Clicking or snapping hip syndrome is more common in young females and associated with activity etc...
Here is an article that is really good and fairly easy for the public to understan..the external and internal refers to the location ie on the outer portion or external portion of the hip vs internal..so you need to try and feel where you think it is coming from..after reading if you still have questions let me know, I will try and answer
