Answer
Hello Nadeem

The arthritis is swelling of the tissue. It aggrevates the pain receptors so you feel pain. First I would buy a muscle relaxer. Next, do some light sretching, as follows:

Stand in your kitchen, holding the counter top for balance. Squat down slowly. Then go up slowly. To keep from going down too far, put a stool under you so you will squat down to the stool, and then go back up. Stand up, step back a bit, put one leg behind the other, feet flat on the floor, stretch the back of your leg. Then do the opposite leg. Then go back to the first leg, back to the second leg. Make sure your leg muscles are stretched every day.

Stand facing the wall, about 2 ft. back. Arms up high, one foot back a bit. Step forward with your other foot, pressing your body against the wall, even your face. Press against your arms and Stretch your opposite leg. Holding the foot firmly on the floor. Repeat with other foot.

The worse thing anyone can do when they have pain is to do nothing. The injury will get only tighter. You have to get the blood flowing and the muscles stretched to bring on repair and relief.

And, look and see if there is any medical referral services in your area where there is a specialist that does knee pain. No one should be in constant pain.

Take it slow, try it for a day, wait a couple of days to see how you feel. As time goes by, do this exercise more and more. Eventually every day. Listen to your body. Do not push past the pain.

Ice applied to the knee will also help in reducing any swelling and pain.

I have had a number of injuries over the years, and many surgeries. One by one I have had them fixed, and I am better for it. Exercise and surgery has made me a lot better and stronger than I have ever been.

You WILL get past this.
