cant move my right foot upwards?

Question
Hello,
I noticed last week I could not move my right toe upwards.  I then discovered I can barely move my entire foot upwards..but my toe, has no muscle reaction at all when I try.  I was in a car accident and broke my right femur about a year ago...not sure if it is related...but i think this is somewhat new because I was snow skiing this winter and you have to be able to lift your feet upwards in order to get off the ski lift (else you wipe out trying to disembark from the lift).  Any thoughts?  I suppose I should seek council from a local doctor?

Answer
Hello Chip

Sounds like some nerve damage. You need to see a Podiatrist, just to make sure. Also, try to do some stretching exercises. Stand in your kitchen, hands on the edge of the counter top. Put one foot back a bit, foot firmly on the floor. Strech your calf muscle by moving forward toward the counter. Like doing counter top pushups. FEEL your calf stretch. Do 10 times. Then do the other leg. 10 times. Do every day. Do 2-5 times a day. See if this helps.

Hope I could help. Have a great weekend.
