Question
I have developed a knot on my left big toe. It is located on the left side, half way down the toe, and on the nW location. It is sore and I have some pain. Any ideas as to waht it is and if it can be corrected?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Rick,

A knot on the toe may be enlarged bone, an extra bone or a cyst.  These often cause pain in the toe when they rub on the shoe or adjacent toe.

I would recommend seeing a Podiatrist for an exam and x-ray.

Typically there are good treatments for all of these conditions.
