Question
I have this bump or so on my right foot near my ankle. The skin on top of the
bump is slightly darker then my usual skin.  It has been there since July. It
doesn't cause me any type of pain but I really want some answers on what it is
and how I can get rid of it by using over the counter medication.

Answer
Hi Jasmine,

I really don't have enough information to answer your question.  However, if you have an enlarged bone and your shoe or other foot is rubbing the area this would cause discoloration.  You can keep the area covered or switch shoes.  There is no over the counter solution. The ideal solution would be to see a podiatrist for an exam.
