Second toe inflamation

Question
I have had inflammation in my second toe. So I went to the doctor and he took one look at the bottom of my foot and said that it was swollen on the ball of my foot under my second toe. He told me to ice it every twenty minute three times a day and prescribed 21 day pak ofMethlprednisolone. Told me it would to stay off it for 10 days and it should be fine. But I get these like muscle spasms in the toe and the swelling hasn't gone down but not much. I am almost done with the prednizone and I don't feel it is not getting better. What do you think?

Answer
Be sure you get the foot x-rayed.  That area is a prime location for a stress fracture.  If it were simply inflammation, the prednisone would have relieved your pain.  Be sure you go visit a podiatrist for the best care.  This is something that a specialist needs to evaluate.
Good luck!
All the best,
