Question
I had a microdisectomy on two lower disk about 7 years ago. Now it looks like
I'm going to have to have scar tissue removed. I have a great deal of pain and
numbness in my right leg. I was wondering how long the average recovery would be
barring complications and will the recovery be as bad as the original surgery

Answer
Since each case and each person are different, it makes it just about impossible to say how long recovery will take.  It's even harder to gauge pain levels.  Your surgeon should be able to give you the best information because he/she has all your past medical records and X-rays/MRIs.  I would assume that the pain will be reduced from what you are currently experiencing.

Thanks for your question, Hughie.  I hope my answer gave you some help.
