Question
I have a disc in my cervical spine c4 or 5 that is herniated. And also the T6,7 disc has squeezed out and is hanging to the side. It causes alot of pain. I take pain meds and it just dulls it some. Im going to see a spinal surgeon in a week, but 2 days ago i started feeling like there is a huge lump in my chest and throat. It is hard to egnore it. Is this part of my spinal problems or is it something else?

Answer
Because I know nothing of your medical history, it's not possible to say anything with absolute certainty.  Having said that, I would think that they are related.  Disc injuries pressing on nerves can refer pain to other areas of the body.

You should ask the spinal surgeon at your appointment in order to resolve the issue fully.  He or she will have all your X-rays, CTs, MRIs, and your complete medical record so they will have the best information on your specific case.

Thank you for your question, Connie.  I hope that my answer has given you some help.
