Question
I recently had a Ra factor test done. "the number" was 215. I have not been able to find a scale to see where I would stand on the severity of my Ra. and does this test tell your Dr how bad you are and does the medication methotrexate reverse condition or just relieve symptoms

Answer
Hi Connie, get a copy of the lab results, on the sheet, it will have THAT labs reference ranges. They differ lab to lab, either way, 215 is high. Methotrexate slows RA, it doesn't reverse it. You can help it slow even more by taking glucosamine sulfate, it is proven to stop and even reverse OA, the jury is still out on RA. It won't hurt to try, as long as you're not diabetic, it won't have any side effects.

You can see how high your number is when compared to the lab record, it will have your number next to its reference range. The sooner you treat it with methotrexate and GS the better.

Hope this helps,
