Question
Hi Rusty.I am being treated for osteo of the spine and have multiple compression fractures. I have been treated with prednisone in the past and am using Symbicort now. Will The sterods induce osteo  and will Lasix interact with Symbicort? Will the osteo be permanent Or be Stopped with treatment? Thanks for any info.

Answer
Rick,

Steroids will not induce osteoarthritis they will not cure it either. They will reduce the inflammation and swelling associated with it. Osteoarthritis is a permanent condition but if not severe can be treated well and advancement slowed.

It is not recommended to take lasix and Sympicort at the same time.
