Question
Post our honey moon in July 2007, my wife has broken out into a rash on her body, has severe joint pain and itches her skin constantly. She was perfectly healthy prior to our honey moon and I am not sure what she has. The rash was on her skin for 3 months, went away for a few weeks and re-appeared during Christmas 2007. Her bones are aching so bad she is unable to move out of bed.
I have done a lot of research for Lupus and Lyme disease, but not sure what to do. She has been tested for Rocky mountain Spotted Fever and 1 Lyme disease and both were negative.
My question is that: is there a Rheumatologist / Automimmune doctor / specialist located in the Louisville, KY area? My wife is taking many types of medication and none seem to work and my fear is that she is taking too many pills and interactions within them may not help her.
Thank you in advance for assisting any advise in this matter.

Sincerely,
Shawn

Answer
I'm so sorry your wife is in pain.  I hope you can find relief soon.

You can always find a rheumatologist using the American College of Rheumatology website - here's the link for "by location:"

You may also want to try your insurance website or give them a call.  They can tell you what practices are in your network.

Also, check at any universities in town with a medical center. Their websites usually have a "find a doctor" form where you can search by specialty or a number to call for help.
