Hi Karen, what can I expect at my appointment with a Rheumatologist that I have upcoming to test for rheumatoid arthritis.  What kind of tests are performed to diagnose it?

Dear Patricia,    All rheumatologist are different in how they diagnose RA.....  However, physical exam, RF blood work and maybe an x-ray will be done.....  The RF blood work is the main thing....  The Rheumatoid Factor (RF) in the blood that is positive will indicate that you have Rheumatoid Arthritis....
