Hi Doctor,

My lower back hurts -- need high comfort shoe as this helps tremendously but can never seem to find the right company.  Can you recommend something that is good for someone on their feet a lot ?  Have purchased otc orthotics and they help   thank you

I would recommend custom prescription orthotic devices that are made by a Podiatrist, especially if the OTC variety works.

If you are able to wear a running shoe, New Balance is often a good choice.

I would also consider seeing a Chiropractor or other Specialist to make sure all is well with your back.

Consider physical therapy, weight loss, sit-ups.
