Question
this is the first time ive looked it up and im 23 now and wow i tahught i was the only one with pinky toes that did this i can not believe how many cases there are including jennifer garner any way i saw a post that you answered for another person witht the same problem and said to deal with it if it wasnt causing any pain but i wanted to know if it were causing pain first what is the surgery needed to be done to fix the problem and second is there Anything Else i could do prior to surgery to try to fix this i also suffer from a bad back and well its causing cramps and excrusiating pains all through my feet legs toes and i have a feeling it could be a result to the pinky toes being pulled so much please help

Hi Phillip,

There is a surgery that can be done to better align the small toe.  In most cases some bone will be removed.  If the skin is tight part of the procedure may include a skin lengtheing procedure.  Also some tendon work may be needed.

There is likely no direct link to your back pain, however if you are walking differently due to pain that can lead to lower back pain.
