Question
Hello I was wondering i have pain in my big toe when i move it upwards or touching the specific area it is towards the start of the big pain and the pain is quite localised although hurts quite a bit and sometimes as well when walking and running what could this be? Please clarify further, thanks.

Answer
It sounds like you could have jammed the joint, causing inflammation and pain when the joint flexes.  I would suggest you try some OTC anti-inflammatories and ice.  If that doesn't work, visit your podiatrist.

All the best,
