Question
what is the best medicine to take to prevent muscle spasms. i had a gunshot wound in the t4 area and since i was released from the hospital my spasms have gotten really bad.  so what procedures can i take to help me do things without getting these severe spasms.  everytime i move or try to transfer to my wheelchair or bed or whatever, my spasms prevent me from doing those things and make me fall over sometimes.  what can i do or what medication can i take to help me out?

Answer
Michael, I wear leg braces, which keep me from getting spasms.  In all of my 60 years of having a spinal cord injury I have never had spasms while wearing the braces.  The keep your legs under control.  Perhaps your doctor can authorize you to have them.  Good luck.
