Shoulder and Chest pain

Question
I dont know where to start with this, sorry if this wastes your time.
I have been suffering from chronic shoulder and chest pain for about 5 years. I had another spasm today, my wife thought I was having a heart attack. Basically it comes on from over exertion of my arms, maybe a stretch the wrong way, reaching into the back seat of the car etc. I then feel a small pain begin in the shoulder area, it grows over about a minute to a totally disabling pain. I cannot move, and have trouble breathing. The pain grows through the chest and I cannot move any of my upper side. It is terribly pain ful, lasts about 2-3 mnutes then slowly drops off. A small amount of pain will stay for a few hours but then I feel nothing.
I get this about 3 times a month and have been to a number of doctors who have done lots of tests, mainly bloods. The concensus seems to be reflux but I cant see anything in the internet that mathces reflux to this pain. I feel like a complete hypocondriac, but something is wrong. The attack today had me shaking uncontrolably and afterwards I was lightheaded and threw up.
I need some sort of direction to look into, maybe muscle spasms or diet deficincy ? Any suggestions you have would be helpfull.

Answer
Hi Craig and thanks for writing,

Have you ever been to a Chiropractor? I would suggest finding a good Chiropractor who practices GENTLE THERAPY (no jolts or crunches) and get your alignment assessed and some treatments if necessary. It sounds very mechanical to me, but obviously you need to be assessed by a qualified healthcare professional.

Good luck, I hope it works for you.

Margot
