Question
I just wanted your opinion on inversion tables to help relieve back pain......thanks

Answer
Hi Mike and thanks for writing,

I don't know a lot about inversion tables, but they appear to relieve some back issues through decompressing the spine and possible relieving pressure on discs or nerves. Although I imagine they may work temporarily for some people, i would advise extreme caution suing them, especially if you do have back issues.

I would advise speaking to your Neurologist first to ensure s/he says they would be safe for your spine, and I would advise not using them too much as they could potentially cause more damage.

Like anything, you get what you pay for, so once your Neurologist gives you the okay, then make sure you buy a solid machine and not run out and buy the cheapest (and flimsiest) or the first table you find.

I hope this helps, you may also want to talk to your Neurologist about having Spinal Decompressions done by a qualified physician to avoid unnecessary risks.

All my best,

Margot
