Question
I've had pain in my neck for about 5 months now. In the beginning I had numbness in my fingertips but that has gone away.  Now I have this constant dull pain in my neck but an MRI of my c-spine was negative.  I've also had a CT scan of chest/abdomen, X-rays of chest and c-spine and also 2 EKG's for chest pain I was having which all came back negative.  Now, on top of the neck pain, I get this hot, burning feeling on the top of my head that last for about 10-30 minutes.  It is very irritating and I can't focus, mainly because it's bothersome and the hot/burning doesn't feel good.  Any suggestions??

Answer
Dear Lori,

Thank you for your patience.  I just returned from my weekend break.

It is a good sign with all the testings done turned out negative.  The numbness in the fingertips indicate lack of circulation in Chiropractic term and blood deficiency in Acupuncture term.  The dull and constant pain in your neck pointed to your condition has become chronic.  The hot and burning sensation that you experienced indicate your body or head having heat in your system.  The sensation could be due to the nerve being irritated.

My advice to you is to visit an Acupuncturist who can provide more proper diagnose of your condition with examination.  Once that is done, your condition can be managed appropriately.
