Question
Hello I had a question. I had my son 5 months ago. Before I hd him-before I got pregnant I did not have back pain. While I was pregnant it would come and go-low back ad upper left side. Now it hurts if I walk around too much or sit for long periods of time. Its mid back to upper back. Sometimes it even gets totally numb and tingly. Also, when I stoop to pick up something my low back hurts alot!-its tingly. Please help!!Thanks!

Answer
Hello, Whitney,

I think your back pain was close to ready to happen before your pregnancy.

The typical cause of your symptoms is habitually contracted back muscles.

Causes and a way out of pain are described in the articles, below:

It's not that difficult but it takes some self-application.

Another option is sessions with a clinical somatic educator.  Ask, with your geographical location, and I may be able to refer you to someone.

regard,
Lawrence Gold
