Pain Control while getting pregant and while pregant

Question
I had a bad horse accident that resulted in a buldged disk in the lower quadrant of my back. I am not a fan of narcotics and never took them. I do however take about 2400 mg of advil on a bad day, 1600 on a normal day and skelaxin 800 mg BID. Will I be able to take this in the early stages of pregancy and down the line, or is there something else I can do. I am 40, so this is a risky pregancy just because of my age. We will be doing IVF. Any advice is welcome.
Thanks,
Tina

Answer
Dear Tina,

My specialty in pain management with Chiropractic and Acupuncture therapy only.  Medications would be out of my expertise.  Sorry, I cannot help you with the medicine advise.

With a bulge disc, acupuncture can help manage the pain even with pregnancy.  Visit an Acupuncture clinic to learn more about alternative options.  The treatment would depend on the findings based on your complete history, examination and symptoms with additional circumstances such as stage of pregnancy.
