Question
Hi,I have a very sharp pain in my right rear upper part of my head. It come mostly when I work on my car and lay down and start to get up (strain). It becomes very severe when ever I lay down and then push my head upwards. I have had 2 MRIS and they said it shows something but its not conclusive!!! The last one I had they told me nothing has changed since the first one. This doesnt help me at all. It seems the sharp pain is a physical thing caused whenever I extend pressure (like sit ups). Any help would be appreciated...Im 55 and a male. Thanks,Dave

Answer
Dave,

Sounds like muscular contractions.

The way out is to learn to relax the involved muscles.  Probably as simple as that.

Please see my article on pain management at somatics.com/page4b.htm for more a detailed understanding and actionable advice.
