Question
dear doc, thankyou for taking the time out to answer me. 7 months ago i had a total disc replacement in my back L3/4 L4/5 they went through the stomach, my problem is i have been getting a lot of pain mostly bloatness and crumbling noise in my stomach which when it happens my back hurts and its hard for me to breath, i feel like my back will never be the same any more and  neither will my stomach, do you think its due to my operation. i am 40 yrs old. thank you greatly appreciated. adele

Answer
Dear Adele,

Well there are two factors that may indicate the surgery may have change your wellbeing.  Your condition started after the surgery and the surgery went through your stomach.  This process may have injured or cut some muscle along the way that attached to the low back bone or vertebrae.  This could be a side effect of the body during its healing process.

I would recommend for you to inquire your concern with the surgeon of the facility that provide the procedure.  They should be able to address your issue better since they had the full history and understanding of the procedure.
