Tenderness to touch of neck.

Question
I'm not sure if this is your area of expertise, but maybe you can give me some advice, or direct me in the right direction! Directly above my larynx, around the bend in my neck, it is tender to the touch.  It will be tender for a few days, then it may be months before it becomes tender again.  I can also feel it somewhat when I swallow, so it is a little annoying. Do you have ANY idea what this could be?  Thank you so much for your time!

Thanks for writing!

This could be a swollen lymph gland or a thryoid situation. Are you getting enough iodine and water in your food intake? These would be the first things to check.

If you go to the medical doctor for an exam. they will very likely call it an infection. I doubt that it is that.

But, if it persists, you should get an examination of it.

Write and let me know how it goess.
